The HPDM-90S is an advanced marine propulsion system designed for unmanned surface vessels, hydrofoiling craft, and submerged pod drives. It has a compact 110 mm diameter that minimizes drag and maximizes hydrodynamic efficiency, along with an integrated inverter and direct submerged cooling to simplify installation and reduce system complexity. The system provides 160 Nm of torque up to 5500 RPM (92 kW of power). It operates quietly, efficiently, and is suitable for stealth missions and high-end marine applications.
The HPDM-90S delivers 160 Nm of torque in a form factor just 110 mm in diameter. This compact design reduces drag, enabling significant improvements in hydrodynamic efficiency.
An integrated high-efficiency Silicon Carbide (SiC) inverter eliminates the need for a separate drive in the powerhead and having to run phase cables down a strut, thereby reducing system complexity, cost, and volume.
Our proprietary cooling approach allows the motor to be directly cooled by its surrounding environment. No closed-loop cooling circuit is required, simplifying system design and complexity.
With low acoustic and vibration signatures, the HPDM-90S is ideal for applications where noise matters—whether for stealth in defense scenarios or for a premium user experience in commercial marine vessels.
The direct-drive architecture eliminates the need for a gearbox, significantly lowering maintenance requirements and improving system uptime. The motor bearings can directly react propeller forces and are designed to have a 5000 hr grease life at 2500N of axial thrust.
Designed for flexibility, the HPDM-90S uses scalable core technology and tooling to adjust torque and power output as needed. This enables faster customization and lower costs across multiple platforms.
